The Tunisia is besides a country able to reconcile tradition and modernity, a near earth to Europe and the center of the Mediterranean one, ideal bridge for the Arabic world and north African region.
The awareness and the foresight not to be able to found the growth of the alone country on the exploitation of the limited natural resources, have convinced the Tunisia since the years '80 to opt for a “liberal development” of own economy, opening it toward the outside and above all in Europe.
A concrete recognition of the achieved progress is represented by the accord of association with the European Union, of July 95, first among all the countries of the south area of the Mediterranean, in forecast of the next creation in the 2010 of an European-Mediterranean vast zone of free exchange, that will be constituted by a market more of 800 million inhabitants.
